Well, I suppose I better introduce myself…

My name’s Connor and I’m that smooth looking guy in the picture above…

I’ve had some pretty interesting jobs, from Bouncer to Learning Support at a special needs school. Both challenging in their own ways. Kids that need special help and support, are a pleasure to help and teach… drunk adults on the other hand, not so much…but they’ve all given me a keen insight into human behaviour which has translated perfectly over into marketing.

I’m a Copywriter. But what does that mean? Well it’s one of those words that could mean anything. It could be someone managing a social media account writing tweets or posts. Or it could mean someone sat down with an Art Director coming up with new advertising campaigns. The term is a broad one to say the least…

Dan Lok (in my opinion) has the best definition: “Copywriting is using the written word, to start, enhance or extend a relationship with a customer, which includes salesmanship in print.”

But why is this important? Communication is wealth. You could send a salesman door to door to sell but it’ll always be a 1:1 ratio. The scalability of Copywriting is quite frankly, insane. You are selling without being present. 24/7. You’re making sales in your sleep. If you can drive traffic to good copy then there is no limit.

I don’t have a fancy Copywriting qualification. No fancy certificate on the wall or anything like that. It’s more akin to a trade, where you learn your craft then convince people you’re good at it. What drives this industry is results. That’s what hooked me. No flowery language. Just straight talking, results driven, ass kicking. That’s what I want to do for you, get you results and your products and services into the hands of those who need it.
